Audio Support hosts the fourth LMTTF

London Music Technology Teachers’ Forum returns to Thames Valley

Audio Support, an organisation that provides a range of music technology services, is holding the fourth London Music Technology Teachers’ Forum (LMTTF) at Thames Valley University, St Mary's Road, Ealing on Wednesday 5th November 2008 from 7-9pm.

The Forum, which is held in association with MusicLeader, a specialist music leadership organisation, will provide advice on setting up music projects and getting started teaching in schools and colleges. Guest speaker David Lintern, Project Manager at South London’s Sound Mix Project, will talk about his experience of project managing and teaching at a weekly music technology workshop for adolescent refugees.

 >

The LMTTF helps those looking to gain entry into the music teaching profession by providing students and graduates the opportunity to meet established teachers, find out more about the realities of teaching, and set up work experience opportunities.

 >

Paul Brogden, an experienced TV sound engineer, who attended the last event at the Gateway School of Recording in May said: "I am interested in teaching music technology so it was very useful for me to attend the Forum and get the advice and perspective from those already in the job. I came away with a much clearer idea of where I should start to direct my efforts when looking for work."

 >

The fourth London Music Technology Teachers' Forum will be held in Room TC402, Thames Valley University, St Mary's Road, Ealing on Wednesday 5th November.

>
Entry is free but capacity is limited to 30 people. Students interested in music technology teaching are especially welcome to attend.
